Your Gift Gives Someone a Stage
Every adult with an intellectual or developmental disability who walks into an ArtStream rehearsal room has a story worth telling. Your generosity makes sure they have a place to tell it.

You don’t have to imagine the impact of your gift. It’s already happening. In Silver Spring. In Gaithersburg. In Washington D.C. In Arlington and Fairfax. In library branches across Prince George’s County. Right now, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are writing original stories, performing on professional stages, and discovering that their voices matter. ArtStream has been building that world for 20 years. Your gift — at any level, in any form — keeps it going.
WAYS TO GIVE:
- Give Online. The fastest way to support ArtStream today is by making a one-time or monthly gift. Give Now!
- Donor Advised Fund (DAF). If you give through a DAF, we’d love to receive it. Recommend a grant to ArtStream through your DAF sponsor. ArtStream’s legal name is ArtStream, Inc. Our EIN is 37-1516235. Many DAF portals let you recommend a grant in minutes at DAFdirect.org.
- Give in Honor or Memory. Has ArtStream changed the life of someone you love? A tribute gift in their name is one of the most meaningful ways to honor that. If there is someone in your life whose story deserves to be remembered this way, we would be honored to receive that gift.
Workplace Giving and Employer Matching. Many employers match charitable gifts — some dollar for dollar, some even more. If your employer offers a matching gift program, your gift to ArtStream could double automatically. Check whether your employer matches at doublethedonation.com or ask your HR department about workplace giving.
Stock and Securities. Donating appreciated stock directly to ArtStream may allow you to avoid capital gains tax while supporting the work you care about. It is worth a conversation with your financial advisor.
- Planned Giving. A gift through your estate plan — a bequest, a beneficiary designation, or a charitable trust — allows you to make a significant impact without changing your finances today. Many of ArtStream’s most meaningful gifts have come from donors who wanted their values to outlast them.
Ways to include ArtStream in your estate plans:
Include ArtStream in your will or trust. A specific bequest, a percentage bequest, or a residual bequest — any of these ensures that ArtStream’s work continues after you are gone.
Name ArtStream as a beneficiary on a retirement account, life insurance policy, or other financial asset. This is often one of the most tax-efficient ways to make a significant gift.
Explore a charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust if you want to provide income to your family while supporting ArtStream’s mission.
Major Gifts If you are thinking about a larger investment in ArtStream’s work — a gift that funds a specific program, names a season, or creates something lasting — we would welcome a conversation.
ArtStream is 20 years old and growing. There is meaningful, specific work waiting for the right partnership.
WHAT YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS
Original works by disabled artists Every ArtStream production is created by participants — not written for them. Your gift funds the Teaching Artists, rehearsal spaces, and professional stages that make that possible.
Access for everyone ArtStream’s library programs are free. Our scholarship fund ensures cost is never a barrier to participation. Your gift keeps those doors open.
A community that lasts Participants return to ArtStream season after season — not because they have to, but because it is one of the few spaces in their lives where they are treated as artists, collaborators, and full community members. Your gift sustains that.
