Acting Techniques with ArtStream!
Always wanted to be an actor? Come and try it out! Would you like to improve your acting skills? This is the class for you. Designed specifically for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities - Ages 18 and up.
Description: We will work on acting through improvisation, drama games, character work, movement and vocal techniques. Great for beginners and experienced actors. All ArtStream classes are taught in a friendly and supportive atmosphere by highly trained professionals.
Spring 2008 Adult Inclusive Theatre classes will be held April 3 - June 19, 2008, at the Lee Community Center. Any interested actors are encouraged to audition for the Arlington Inclusive Theatre Company.

Theatre Techniques
Description: Work on your acting techniques in these classes through scene work, theater games and improvisation. Also, work on refining your technique through the building blocks of movement and voice. Great for beginners and advanced actors.

The Roving Muse
Everyday is a new adventure with The Roving Muse Summer Program
The Roving Muse involves a morning cultural field trip, a lunch break and then an afternoon class in dance, drama or music. Designed for adults or older teens with developmental disabilities.
All participants meet at Starbucks at the Tenleytown metro at 9:45 a.m. Students are escorted back to Tenleytown metro at 4 p.m. for pickup or to metro home.
Instructor: Patricia Krauss
Tuition: $75 per day. Lunch and transportation not included.
Dates: August 4 - August 15, 2008. Monday thru Friday.
Times: Meet at 9:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Tenleytown metro.
Typical activities: Museums, visual arts classes, movies, swimming, theater performances. Afternoon dance, drama and music classes at The Center at 4321 Wisconsin Avenue, NW.

Private Lessons
ArtStream offers private lessons in Drama and Social Skills Building to our students of all abilities.
One of ArtStream’s experienced and highly qualified instructors will come to your home for one hour; for one-on-one, individualized lessons in building Advanced Acting Skills and their natural application to social situations.
All lessons are tailor-made to the individual student and their needs, interests and abilities.
Private Sessions in Movement and Body Awareness
Instructor: Patricia Krauss
Sessions will include yoga and deep stretching exercises designed to develop coordination, flexibility, strength and efficiency in moving. An emphasis on the "Head-Tail" connection helps engage the spine, allowing for more freedom and energy, with less discomfort. Sessions will include simple dance sequences in a variety of ethnic forms to develop rhythms and an awareness of music, as well as improvisation exercises to engage the brain and the imagination. All sessions individually tailored to the participant’s needs.
